It is not just being intimidated by technical experts or senior powermongers in your audience, there are a myriad of other supposed triggers (like being unprepared, being broadcast, and so on) that we often believe can inhibit our flow in explaining dense ideas or managing our rapid-fire thoughts as we speak. At the worst it can produce panic attack symptoms, like a frozen or shaky voice, or the impulse to escape the room.
